Which term describes the party commonly known as 'The Tories'?

The term “The Tories” is the nickname for the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom. This informal label has long been used in British politics to refer to the party known for center-right positions and a long history in government and opposition. The other parties listed—Labour, Liberal Democrats, and Green—are not commonly known by this nickname, so the phrase clearly points to the Conservative Party. In everyday political language, you’ll hear journalists and politicians refer to ministers and MPs as “the Tories.”
